The Clean Air
Green Corridor

What is it?

It is a project that was initiated by environmental science teacher, Dr. Fox, who teaches at Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School. Their mission is focused on creating more beautiful and safer blocks with improved air quality going down 182nd street by introducing trees and plants and beautifying the community.

Their Vision

The Clean Air Green Corridor's vision can be seen in this photo right here. It shows what the organization is trying to accomplish by creating a space that helps the environment and doesn't damage it, while still be a useful place for students and residents to admire and walk through

Partnerships

The Clean Air Green Corridor is partnered with a handful of other organizations that are after the same mission. Some of them are Friends of WHEELS, Curb Allure, Alianza Youth Services, The New York Restoration Project, Hester Street, The Audubon Mural Project, Sunrise Movement, Washington Heights Business Improvement District, and many more. Down below are three notable partnerships that have worked alongside Dr. Fox in class and with students.

All of these partnerships aid the Clean Air Green Corridor and their vision of a safe and clean community.
